We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our finance organization on-site in Taipei, Taiwan. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to be part of a dynamic group that is instrumental in crafting the future of AI and computing. It is ideal for a forward‑thinking, hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, constantly evolving environment. You will manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure high‑quality financial reporting, and drive process improvements while partnering with cross‑functional teams across the region.
What you'll be doing:
-
Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, setting clear expectations and driving strong engagement and execution.
-
Own month-end and quarter-end close processes to ensure timely, accurate, and well-controlled financial reporting aligned with corporate and group requirements.
-
Oversee general ledger integrity, including journal approvals, account reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, and compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and local standards.
-
Manage statutory reporting and external audits, coordinating with auditors to deliver statutory financial statements and resolve audit issues proactively.
-
Drive compliance activities including VAT, withholding tax, and corporate income tax filings, partnering with the regional tax team and supporting transfer pricing documentation.
-
Maintain fixed asset accounting processes, ensuring accurate capitalization, asset completeness, and alignment between local and group ledgers.
-
Support cash management activities such as cash flow forecasting, bank reconciliations, and collaboration with Treasury on banking matters.
-
Drive process improvement and automation initiatives, strengthening internal controls and partnering with FP&A/business stakeholders to provide insights and support key projects.
What we need to see:
-
Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
-
10+ overall years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably in a multinational or fast-paced environment.
-
3+ years of proven leadership/people management experience.
-
Strong hands-on experience in general ledger accounting, month-end close, statutory reporting, and audits.
-
Solid technical accounting expertise with working knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP, including ability to interpret complex standards.
-
Working knowledge of local tax and regulatory compliance (e.g., VAT, WHT, corporate income tax, statutory filings) and experience coordinating with tax teams/advisors.
-
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong internal controls and documentation to meet corporate and audit requirements.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience driving process improvements in complex environments.
-
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional and global teams, including the ability to explain accounting topics to non-finance partners.
-
Proficient in ERP systems (preferably SAP) and advanced Excel skills; fluent in English (additional regional languages are a plus).
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
-
Professional qualification such as CPA, CA, or equivalent.
-
Prior experience managing various APAC entities and exposure to multi‑jurisdictional statutory reporting and tax.
-
Hands‑on experience with SAP and finance process automation tools or analytics platforms.
-
Demonstrated success in leading transformation or standardization projects, such as process re‑engineering, system rollouts, or control framework enhancements.
-
Experience in the technology, semiconductor, or high‑growth environments where scalability and continuous improvement are critical.
