Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer Level 5 to support the Launch and Missile Defense Systems business unit for the Zombie Program as a Mission Manager, located in Chandler, AZ.

Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities

  • Work on the Zombie family of targets requiring the candidate to function in a dynamic multi-disciplinary and multi-division environment
  • Strong technical problem solving, written and verbal communication skills to generate and document system level launch vehicle requirements, perform vehicle performance assessments and participate in system level verification/data review activities
  • Regular interface with program management, engineering staff and external customers is expected
  • Solicit, negotiate, track, and verify mission requirements are met through design, test, or analysis
  • Travel to support launch campaigns and customer meetings with the opportunity to lead the Zombie team during field campaigns
  • Resolve to drive tasks to completion autonomously
  • Technical problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
  • Presents and prepares materials for presentation during System Requirement Review, System Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review and System Verification Review

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Science with 12 years of experience or Masters Degree and 10 years experience; 8 years experience with PhD
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Strong oral and written communication skill
  • Ability to obtain Do

Compensation and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
