This position is for 4/10 1st shift schedule, located in Oklahoma City, OK.
The selected candidate will become part of the MRB / Liaison Engineering team within the Vehicle Engineering IPT and responsibilities include:

• Working as part of a Material Review Board (MRB) and Engineering Change Request (ECR) processes.

• Performing timely dispositions for nonconforming parts, assemblies, and installations.

• Coordinating with a multi-disciplined team of engineers responsible for providing engineering support.

• Working with subsystems installations and composite & metallic structures.

• Basic knowledge of subsystems: electrical, hydraulics, fuels, fluids and propulsion systems.

• Assess, disposition, and buy off MRB Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) as they arise in a sustainment environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, leadership, and problem solving abilities.

• Some of the tools used are: CATIA V5 and Team Center Unified & Enterprise.

Basic Qualifications:

• Basic qualifications for a Principal Engineer include a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 5 years of experience, a Master's Degree in STEM with 3 years of experience, or a PhD Degree with no experience

• Basic qualifications for a Sr. Principal Engineer include a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 8 years of experience, a Master's Degree in STEM with 6 years of experience, or a PhD Degree with 3 years of experience.

• Knowledge of the MRB process / experience with the MRB process

• Experience with the conceptual operation, and troubleshooting of, typical aircraft subsystems

• Experience with the manufacture and repair of composite structures

• Experience with aircraft structures design

• Experience with aircraft subsystem design

• Experience providing autonomous engineering support

• Experience with CATIA V5, NX, Visualization Pro, Team Center, MES, or other CAD programs

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Required to start.

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain program security access SAP/PAR. Required to start.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering

• Previous MRB/LE Authority for Engineering

• Experience with aircraft subsystem design

• Experience working in an aircraft manufacturing facility

• Experience interfacing with a military customer

• Experience working hands-on in a production assembly line environment

Primary Level Salary Range: $93,300.00 - $139,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $116,300.00 - $174,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
