Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking Associate Software Engineer. This position will be located in Huntsville, Alabama and will support the Sentinel program.
The successful candidate will be a motivated software developer who is comfortable with both front and back-end programming as well as identifying COTS candidates. Full Stack Developers are responsible for developing both front and backend applications. Full Stack Developers will be required to see out a project from conception to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

• Developing front end Software applications.
• Developing back-end Software applications.
• Creating servers and databases for functionality.
• Ensuring responsiveness of applications.
• Working alongside graphic designers for web design features.
• Designing and developing APIs.
• Staying abreast of developments in programming languages.
• Evaluation of COTS products that may contribute to the end product
  The successful candidate will:
• Communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
• Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

  This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
  Basic Qualifications:
• T01- Bachelors in Science with 0 years of experience or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Working knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design principles
• Working knowledge of object-oriented languages such as C++ or Java

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current Special Program Access (SAP)
• Experience with modern web technologies, virtual machines and containerized applications

  Primary Level Salary Range: $67,300.00 - $106,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
