Major Duties

• Support completion of Northern Trust's annual capital plan and resolution plan.

• Assist in monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements around capital adequacy and compliance on risk and controls.

• Prepare a range of financial analyses with both internal and external data, with a focus on capital adequacy and management including presentations to various Committees, Management Teams and the Board of Directors.

• Assist in monitoring conceptual design, assumptions, and performance of qualitative projection methodologies utilized for capital adequacy assessments.

• Address issues to identify and implement improvements toward efficient operations.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask across several different assignments at a given time

• Possess ability to work effectively and build relationships across a matrix structure and with a diverse management team

• Proficiency with Office 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access, One Drive, and Teams, to efficiently perform analyses and communicate financial information to various stakeholders

• Knowledge in business intelligence analytical tools required to interpret data, perform analyses and communicate financial information to various constituents.

• Experience with Anaplan, Smartview, IBM Cognos BI (preferred).

Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related field

• 1-4 years of relevant experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, and Project Management.
