Major Duties
-
Support completion of Northern Trust's annual capital plan and resolution plan.
-
Assist in monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements around capital adequacy and compliance on risk and controls.
-
Prepare a range of financial analyses with both internal and external data, with a focus on capital adequacy and management including presentations to various Committees, Management Teams and the Board of Directors.

Assist in monitoring conceptual design, assumptions, and performance of qualitative projection methodologies utilized for capital adequacy assessments.

Address issues to identify and implement improvements toward efficient operations.
Knowledge/Skills:
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask across several different assignments at a given time
-
Possess ability to work effectively and build relationships across a matrix structure and with a diverse management team
-
Proficiency with Office 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access, One Drive, and Teams, to efficiently perform analyses and communicate financial information to various stakeholders
-
Knowledge in business intelligence analytical tools required to interpret data, perform analyses and communicate financial information to various constituents.

Experience with Anaplan, Smartview, IBM Cognos BI (preferred).
Experience Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related field
-
1-4 years of relevant experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, and Project Management.
