Job DescriptionNOTE: This position is located at Nordstrom’s downtown Seattle headquarters and follows a hybrid work model, with four days in the office and one remote workday each week.

The Nordstrom Merchandising Group (NMG) blends creativity and analytics to deliver the products that help our customers feel good and look their best. As a customer‑centric organization, NMG is responsible for planning, buying, pricing, and delivering merchandise across all Nordstrom channels—including Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores, digital platforms, and off‑price experiences. Through a balance of art and science, NMG teams use customer insights, trend intelligence, and financial rigor to build relevant, inspiring assortments while partnering closely with brands and cross‑functional teams. From strategy through execution, NMG plays a critical role in driving growth, elevating the customer experience, and ensuring Nordstrom offers the right product, at the right time, in the right place.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Manager, Program Management to join the team.

As the Senior Manager, Program Management, you will lead beauty space planning, brand placement, and strategic initiatives in collaboration with divisional leadership to optimize customer experience and drive business results.

A day in the life…

  • Space & Location Mgmt.: Manage space & location planning to maximize efficiency and customer engagement.
  • Cap Ex & Project Tracking: Create capital expense budgets and tracks project progress to ensure timely delivery.
  • Concept/Design Planning & Collaboration: Partner with design teams to develop and implement innovative concepts.
  • Brand communication & negotiation: Negotiate & maintain strong brand partnerships to align with Nordstrom.
  • Strategic planning and partnership with GMM/DMM: Collaborate on strategic initiatives to reflect direction within brand placement & merchandising.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple initiatives and ensure timely execution.
  • Strategic Planning & Adaptability: Develop space strategies aligned with business goals; adjust layouts for trends and seasonal changes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate effectively with leadership, design, and planning teams.
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making: Identify space challenges and implement efficient solutions.
  • Strong Negotiation skills: Secure agreements that balance customer needs with Nordstrom and brand objectives.

$110,500.00 - $183,000.00 Annual

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
