As a Principal Technical Specialist, you will enhance products and services through expertise in software, systems, and database development. Responsibilities include analyzing, designing, developing, and testing software; ensuring hardware/software integration; and resolving complex issues. We seek an experienced DBA skilled in Oracle and PostgreSQL, with strong abilities in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and automation using shell scripting, Python, and Perl. You will also mentor teams, lead projects, and drive innovation in a collaborative environment.

You Have:

• Bachelor degree with 12–15 years’ experience managing Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, including upgrades, patching, migrations, security, and compliance.

• Performance & Troubleshooting with Expertise in resolving bottlenecks, replication, and backup issues; skilled in SQL tuning and optimizing database configurations for scalability.

• Automation & Monitoring and Proficient in backup/recovery (RMAN, pgdump), automating DBA tasks with Shell, Python, and Perl, and monitoring with AWR, OEM, and pg_stat_statements.

• Collaboration & Leadership with Strong team collaboration, documentation, and mentoring skills; proven ability to guide DBAs and support application performance.

It would be nice if you also had:

• Certifications & Cloud Expertise with Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) / PostgreSQL certified; experienced in cloud database deployments (AWS RDS, Azure Database).

• Software Development & Release Management and manage software evolutions, releases, documentation, and change control to meet customer and business needs.

• Knowledge Sharing & Support and Retain deep technical expertise, provide training, and support lower-tier teams (Tier 2 & 3).

• Works effectively in a mixed environment and applies best practices and knowledge of internal and external business issues to improve products or services.

• Possesses in-depth business knowledge and understands how relevant areas integrate to achieve objectives.

• Uses advanced analytical skills to solve complex problems or those without routine solutions, taking a new perspective.

• Shares initial ideas for the professional direction of their own organizational unit.
