As a Coherent DSP Engineer at Nokia, you'll be pivotal in shaping the future of high-speed data transmission. You have:
- Masters or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field
- Proficiency in Matlab and C/C++ for complex simulations and debugging
- Strong background in digital communication theory and DSP techniques
- Experience with high-speed analog electronic device testing and integration
- Knowledge of fiber optic channel and modem impairments
It would be nice if you also had:

Familiarity with feedback control loops and digital equalization

Understanding of FEC and coding theory

Hands-on laboratory experience with high speed equipment and optical systems

Laboratory experience with real-time optical transmission systems

Design and optimize next-generation optical transport systems for maximizing data rates and at the same time minimizing power consumption.

Perform detailed analysis and simulations to evaluate system performance and validate design choices.

Collaborate with ASIC teams to create and implement robust DSP algorithms for coherent modem architectures.

Utilize advanced communication theory and digital signal processing techniques to address real-world challenges.

Define and contribute to critical firmware algorithms for DSP ASIC control, channel acquisition, and system BER optimization.

Conduct testing and measurement of high-speed analog devices including ADCs, DACs, and PLLs, ensuring smooth and timely ASIC integration.

Design of DSP blocks such as feedback control loops, adaptive digital equalization, carrier recovery, and coded modulation.

Stay updated on industry advancements and contribute innovative ideas to drive the evolution of optical communication systems.
