RESPONSIBILITY
- Champion the end-to-end delivery of the Brand Share Update project, ensuring the output accurately reflects the market dynamics and brand performances. Uncover patters of success and underlying drivers in winning sectors and brands. Forge the analytical foundation that enables strategy development of the company
- Drive strategic foresight by leading Market Projection Study, evaluating shifts in macroeconomic factors, industry trends, consumer behaviour, and brand actions, to support the calibration of corporate business targets and strategic initiatives
- Develop perspective and visual document for corporate moments like business reviews on different cadence, corporate strategic review, corporate operation planning, etc.
- Monitor and document broad macroeconomic trends and synthesize them with ground-level industry shifts and brand dynamics, and develop coherent narratives on their impact on business
- Take the major accountability in obtaining timely, accurate market awareness and competition dynamics and integrate the external information with internal business situation to come up with actionable insight for the brand
- Explore new strategic opportunities, inform the future project roadmap, help leadership prioritize by impact, deliver qualitative & quantitative analysis, and deploy a communications strategy
- Build trusted partnerships across teams including GC teams and Global teams. Foster effective collaboration and communication to ensure the global teams are consistently informed of critical GC market updates and GC perspectives. Simultaneously, ensure meaningful participation in global projects involving GC market
QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years' experience. Consulting / Strategy role in retail industry is preferred. Extensive experience with data science would be a plus
- Strengths in cross-functional collaboration with demonstrated expertise in driving complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Ability to facilitate ideation, scoping and planning sessions
- Strong sense of ownership and action orientated. Ability to quickly understand the context, frame the problem and move to planning & execution, even in the face of ambiguity or uncertainty
- Strong analytical skills and numeric acumen, good at problem solving
- Impeccable business judgment, along with a natural inclination to formulate hypotheses, design pilots, and use problem-solving techniques to evaluate solutions
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Proficient in analytics toolkit (Excel, SQL, R, Python, etc.) and major BI tools/applications
- Fluent in both Mandarin and English
- Knowledge & passion for Sportwear industry is a plus
