WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
The role reports to the Senior Manager of Account Marketing Japan and sits within the Sport Specialty team. The individual partners closely with Japan Marketing, Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA), Global Brand Marketing, Retail Marketing, Brand Management, Digital, Sales, Planning, and external agencies to bring Nike’s brand vision to life across the Sport Specialty marketplace.

Nike seeks a strategic, detail‑obsessed marketer who elevates partner experiences and strengthens Nike’s presence across Sport Specialty accounts. This individual activates seasonal campaigns across retail environments, ensuring Nike Sport and culture show up with clarity and impact through integrated account plans and compelling storytelling. They demonstrate strong strategic thinking, creativity in problem ‑solving, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to turn insights into powerful retail executions.
The ideal candidate brings deep passion for sport, youth culture, sneakers, fashion, and streetwear. They thrive in fast‑paced, collaborative environments, embrace innovation, and champion inclusive thinking. A strong interest in running and football, curiosity about consumer behavior, and belief in Nike’s brand vision are essential to success. Experience working with Sport Specialty partners, planning in‑store and online communication, driving seasonal execution, and managing account relationships is critical.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in brand management, retail, or digital marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Project management experience managing agency partners, vendors, and budgets.
- Domestic travel required once per season; international travel may occur a few times per year depending on business needs.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Japanese.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will extend, develop, and deliver Global and Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA) directives, tools, and processes that strengthen Nike’s end‑to‑end offense across the Sport Specialty channel. You will shape channel strategies, drive seasonal direction, and ensure premium execution with key retail partners.
- Lead the development of channel strategies for Sport Specialty partners.
- Co‑create seasonal marketing direction with the Sport Specialty Sales team.
- Drive the development of seasonal and non‑seasonal marketing plans.
- Brief agency partners and guide execution across Japan.
- Deliver compelling marketing presentations for seasonal sell‑ins.
- Manage the annual marketing budget to optimize resources and ensure timely delivery.
- Measure success through Share of Business (SoB), revenue performance, and emotional consumer connection using Brand Strength Metrics (BSM).
