WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
This role serves as the Lead Nike Stores Partner (NSP) Representative and reports directly to the Director Nike Store Owned (NSO)/ NSP Japan.
This role collaborates with equally passionate teammates spanning Merchandising, Planning, Marketplace Supply-chain, Retail Marketing, Real Estate, Store Construction, Retail Operation and Nike Athlete Experience Team. Additionally, this role partners with stakeholders across Asia Pacific and Latin America geography as well as an NSP partner in Japan.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management, retail buying, or merchandising
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- Experience in sales is highly preferred, strong knowledge of sports, the athletics industry & trends in the marketplace. Experience in the apparel industry will be an advantage
- Strong leadership and collaborative mindset, consistently fostering and sustaining effective relationships across teams, functions, and all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to plan and deliver strong product presentations and use financial insights to drive profitable, well-informed seasonal assortments, forecasts, and scenario plans – while ensuring timely and accurate execution of order tracking, order input, sales & stock tracking, product launch info and other sales matter tracking and execution
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong oral and written communication skills in both Japanese and English
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As a Lead NSP Representative, you will work as part of the Nike Japan team to support and drive the day-to-day partner management, strategy execution, Go To Market (GTM) excellence and in season management with a consumer led focus.
- Leading the key processes including strategic planning, franchise contract management, seasonal sell-in execution, trade-terms, business performance reviews, proactive order book management, and growth alignment
- Supporting cross-functional and partner teams through seasonal Go-To-Market (GTM) processes throughout Consumer Marketplace Pivot (CMP), Seasonal Kick-off (SKO), and Seasonal Partner Alignment (SPA), and aligning the seasonal priorities with an NSP partner
- Optimizing Nike product sales by delivering accurate and realistic seasonal assortments, forecasts, and scenario plans and ensure timely submission of seasonal orders as well as coordination of order tracking and retail launch information
- Managing the day-to-day business, analyzing the wins and opportunities and enabling quick decisions and solutions. Additionally, providing details on the marketplace and fleeting performance on a weekly basis to Japan Store Leadership Team (LT) as well as Geo LT
- Ensuring timely coordination of order tracking, retail release and launch information, order confirmation, cancellations/Return-To-Stock summaries and delivery of information
- Displaying strong customer service skills by developing and maintaining relationships with key customer stakeholders at all levels of the customer's business
- Understanding, driving, and scaling retail elevation across our markets and finding ways to leverage best in class examples across our teams
