WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As the Nike Customs team we inspire our community and enable trade within EMEA so that we cross borders as one.

As Lead Customs Specialist in general, you will lead the charge in standardizing and improving existing procedures. You will apply your knowledge to strengthen alignment, enhance consistency, and support operational excellence.

You will help lead day‑to‑day customs execution by ensuring compliance and supporting the full end‑to‑end customs process. You will contribute to navigating more complex customs topics with guidance, support continuous process improvements, and help translate regulatory requirements into clear, actionable steps.

Should you come and strengthen our Governance team, on top of this you will contribute to reinforcing our customs governance framework and support interactions with customs authorities. You will help drive structured follow‑up and facilitate alignment across partners.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

The Lead Logistics Customs Specialist will join a team of specialists and analysts and will report to a Customs Leader who supports growth and development. This person will collaborate with internal and external partners to help ensure fast, efficient, and compliant delivery of Nike products and contribute to building strong relationships with customs authorities.

  • Ability to prioritize and stay organized while supporting multiple tasks

  • Comfortable collaborating with stakeholders to strengthen an optimal end‑to‑end flow

  • Team player who contributes to an agile way of working and recommends simple, flexible, scalable improvements

  • Curious and detail‑oriented, with the ability to gather operational data and communicate key insights

  • Willingness to share knowledge, support teammates, and participate in training efforts

  • Leads positively through motivation, teamwork, and a growth mindset

  • Proven skills in optimizing, standardizing, and documenting processes, including supporting testing of new solutions

  • Openness to learning and applying new technologies (e.g., AI) and helping others become comfortable using them

  • Able to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders, including customs authorities

  • Proficiency in English and/or Dutch.Depending on the sub‑team (multiple positions),proficiency in both Dutch and English will be required to communicate with customs authorities.

  • No relocation package/deal: candidates must currently reside in Belgium to be considered for this position (except current cross‑border commuters). Applications from outside Belgium will be declined.
