WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As Communications Lead, you will be responsible for shaping Nike’s communications strategy in Mexico, ensuring alignment with global and APLA priorities while tailoring initiatives to resonate locally.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Developing and executing communications strategies that strengthen Nike’s corporate reputation and brand equity in Mexico.
  • Leading Communications initiatives and managing media relationships to position Nike as a leader in sport, innovation, and culture.
  • Managing external communications agencies, ensuring high-quality delivery and alignment with Nike’s brand voice.
  • Driving storytelling campaigns around key sports moments, including football and running. In the short-term, with a focus on the 2026 and 2027 World Cups.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and amplify brand initiatives through creative storytelling.
  • Mentoring the Communications Intern, providing guidance and development opportunities.
  • Reporting to the Lat Am Communications Director, contributing to regional strategies and share best practices across the territory.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong media relationships
  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills in both English and Spanish
  • Experience managing agencies and budgets
  • Passion for sport and ability to connect Nike’s brand to cultural and sporting moments
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
