WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
This role is within the Integrated Retail Marketing Japan team and reports directly into the Senior Manager Retail Brand/ Experience. This role supports Lead, Retail Brand/ Experience in delivering Nike-only retail experiences and services. The role collaborates closely with Visual Merchandising & Styling (VMS) team to sharpen in-store consumer journey and elevate in-store retail brand elements. Key internal partners in Japan include teams across Integrated Retail Marketing, Brand Management, Digital Marketing, Nike Direct Stores Headquarter in Japan, Demand and Supply Management and Operations teams, as well as colleagues across Asia-Pacific Latin America (APLA) geography. External partnerships include agencies, suppliers, and vendors.

Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in retail marketing and/or brand marketing.

Bachelor’s degree or anything equivalent.

High interest or background in sport, youth culture, sneakers, fashion and streetwear.

Project management experience and analytical skills to gather business and consumer insights and apply learnings.

Domestic travel required to visit agency partners and partner stores once per season. International travel might also occur a couple of times per year, depending on the business situation as well.

Strong oral and written communication skills (in both English and Japanese).
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will lead the building planning and execution of “marketing in stores” each season, bringing seasonal and evergreen stories to life.

Program seasonal direction for Nike Direct Stores (NSO/NSP/NVS), 4-5 times per year and build strategic plans and execution for new store openings.

Produce in-store signage and graphics each season by managing vendors and stores withing budget, working closely with VMS.

Collaborate with Nike Direct inline stores and Value stores to execute cross-channel projects and seasonal stories.

Support the development of seasonal and non-seasonal marketing plans, including briefing and input for execution across Japan for Retail Brand Lead.

Contribute to the creation of in-store signage for always-on products/collections, promotions and sale events, based on our brand playbook.

Success will be measured by growth in brand strength, consumer engagement and Nike Direct Stores business performance.
