The Retail District Director is responsible for achieving and maximizing sales and profit budget for Nike Direct Stores in assigned region. This includes aligning with the Nike Direct strategy and leading a store manager to define and execute operational process. The role is responsible for ensuring Nike Direct Store is positioned as a premium experience for consumers, and is a profitable business.
Responsibilities:
- Actively manage, Train, and oversee the development of a group of Head Coaches.
- Manage Head Coaches and sets individual goals that link to Nike Direct priorities.
- Coach staff, supports development, makes hiring decisions, and drives performance management, recognition, and rewards.
- Develop growth targets and goals for Nike Direct Stores that are aligned with the Nike Direct strategy.
- Accountable for the financial budget including store P/L.
- Analyze sales performance to inform Nike Direct stores team and strategies.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor degree or equivalent
- 5+ years progressive retail experience
- Demonstrates strong and effective analytical business skills
- Thorough understanding of operations and financials including budget preparation and control
- Demonstrates strong multi-tasking and project management on various levels with different and converging timelines
- Strategic thinking
- Business level written and verbal communications skills in English and Chinese required
- Previous experience working with a premium positioned brand and understanding tactics that can both build and potentially erode brand equity a plus
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Comfortable working in cross-cultural environment – value diversity
