Reports to: Senior Manager, Merchandising, Top Door & Cities GC
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Marketplace Initiatives Merchandising team is looking for a merchant with an entrepreneurial mindset to create strategy and drive merchandising excellence in Nike’s Retail Concepts, across Direct and wholesale in Greater China. You will be responsible for crafting assortment segmentation strategies across Nike’s retail concepts, Key Cities, and Top Doors. We are looking for talent that has a strategic mindset, consumer expertise, collaborative attitude, and initiative to unlock new marketplace opportunities.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will be responsible for developing clear assortment strategies for new / existing retail concepts in partnership with ND/NSP merchandising and the Retail Concept Development team. You will conduct periodic hindsighting of retail data, trade zone and consumer trends, to inform and impact future seasonal merchandising approaches. You will support retail excellence and ensure assortment vision lands in our most critical doors across Greater China. You will drive assortment & product distinction in our Must Win Cities and facilitate the E2E process of City hyperlocal product in partnership with Geo Express Lane team.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will be a key collaborator across multiple functions, working closely with NSP & Nike Direct Merchandising, Sports Merchandising, Geo Express Lane, Retail Concept Development, and Retail marketing. You will also engage with the network of Key City & Top Door.
WHAT SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years’ experience in retail industry
- Knowledge of consumers, marketplace & retail
- Passion for band, sport & product
- Strong self-motivation and ownership mindset with the ability to prioritize
- Great communication skills, fluent in both Chinese and English
- Proficiency in MS office tools
