You know how to translate complex, technical, or research‑driven work into clear, compelling stories that honor both the art and science behind NIKE innovation and the pursuit of making athletes better. You understand how to connect athlete insight, sport science, and product creation to broader cultural relevance and brand narrative.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

Serve as a core contact between Global Communications and Innovation, Design & Product teams, ensuring athlete insight, research, and product creation work translate into clear, aligned communications strategies.

Develop, collaborate, and execute communications plans that position NIKE’s innovation platforms, performance technologies, and product breakthroughs at the center of the company’s global storytelling.

Translate athlete insight, sport science, materials research, and engineering work into clear, athlete‑focused narratives for internal and external audiences.

Build and maintain messaging frameworks, content plans, decks, and storytelling tools that support innovation milestones and product launches.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with Brand, Sport Offense, and Athlete & Sports Marketing Communications teams to ensure consistency across channels.

Assist in planning and executing key moments, events, and experiences tied to innovation and product milestones.

Manage stakeholder communications, timelines, and deliverables to ensure operational excellence.

Be on the pulse of sport, innovation, and technology trends to proactively surface storytelling opportunities.

Across all work, bring structure, clarity, and consistency to high‑visibility initiatives and help strengthen NIKE’s mission of bringing inspiration and innovation to all athletes.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
This role sits within Global Communications and supports NIKE’s Innovation, Design & Product portfolio, reporting to the Senior Director of Innovation, Design & Product Communications for Nike, Inc. You will work across a highly matrixed organization and collaborate with:

NIKE, Inc. Brand, Corporate and Geo Communications teams

Innovation, Design & Product (IDP) leadership and functional teams

Scientists, engineers, designers, innovators and product experts

Nike Sport Research Lab (NSRL) and advanced research partners
-
Brand Marketing, Legal, and Business Affairs

External agency partners
-
Senior leadership across Global Communications and IDP
WHAT YOU BRING
-
3-5 years of experience in communications, product, innovation, or science‑driven storytelling—preferably with a global brand or agency
-
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.

Strong writing, editing, presentation and research skills with the ability to adapt tone and voice for different audiences

Understanding of innovation, design, and product creation processes
-
Confidence partnering with technical experts, creatives, and senior leaders in a highly matrixed environment

Knowledge of and curiosity for sport science, human performance, materials, and emerging technology

Ability to stay calm, organized, and solutions‑oriented under pressure

A passion for NIKE’s mission and the art and science of making athletes better
