Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Staff Firmware Engineer, BMClocated inTW Taipei Wugu Site.

The Staff Engineer, BMC will be based in Taiwan Taipei Wugu Site. The Staff Engineer, BMC performs the responsibility for system design in BMC Solution Projects request.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Design OBMC Firmware by applying knowledge of BMC architecture
  • Customize OpenBMC stack to meet customer's requirement
  • System level debug and root cause analysis for BMC firmware design
  • Cross-function teamwork for issues analysis and debug
  • Overall project responsibility in all aspects on SW design related- from project kick off to end of M.P.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor or above degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • 8+ years' experience for debugging, development, and testing work in the Linux environment
  • Be highly passionate and interested in BMC development and capability of teamwork in multi-task environment
  • Solid understanding of software implementation/design experience is required.
  • Experience developing device drivers for peripherals and connectivity buses (e.g., I2C, SPI, Pm Bus, USB).
  • Capability of independent research and working with new technologies is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills (in Mandarin and English) is required.

Here are a few of our preferred experiences:

  • With strong sense of responsibility (be able to go on business trips, dispatch overseas is preferred)
  • Domain expertise in OpenBMC or AST2600 firmware development experience is plus
  • OOB or In-band System Management experience with DMTF standards IPMI and Redfish is plus.
