We are a global team of innovators and pioneers dedicated to shaping the future of observability. At New Relic, we build an intelligent platform that empowers companies to thrive in an AI-first world by giving them unparalleled insight into their complex systems. As we continue to expand our global footprint, we're looking for passionate people to join our mission. If you're ready to help the world's best companies optimize their digital applications, we invite you to explore a career with us!
Your Opportunity
Are you a strategic problem-solver who thrives at the intersection of sales velocity and financial rigor? We are seeking a Senior Manager, Deal Strategy & Triage to serve as the critical "first responder" and utility player for our Deal Strategy Organization. This role is the primary point of entry for all deal-related requests, responsible for triaging work items, architecting deal pricing, and bridging the gap into order management. If you are a high-energy professional who can pivot from high-level commercial strategy to hands-on operational execution, this is your chance to lead a cornerstone function of our deal lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
-
Deal Triage & Intake Ownership: Act as the primary gatekeeper for the GTM organization. Own the end-to-end triage process for all deal strategy requests, ensuring every item is prioritized, assigned, and tracked against SLAs.
-
Commercial Pricing & Strategy: Partner with Sales to price out complex deals. You will build financial models to evaluate margins, discount structures, and long-term contract value, ensuring deals are both competitive and profitable.
-
Utility Order Management: Serve as the bridge to finance by covering order management functions. You will ensure that quoted deals translate accurately into executed orders, overseeing contract cleanliness and system alignment.
-
Sales Partnership & Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to Sales leadership. You will provide real-time guidance on deal structuring, helping reps navigate internal guardrails while maximizing their ability to close business.
-
Cross-Functional Orchestration: Coordinate daily with Finance, Legal, and Product teams to resolve deal blockers. You are the "air traffic controller" ensuring all stakeholders are aligned before a deal moves to final approval.
-
Operational Excellence: Identify recurring friction points in the triage or pricing phase and implement "utility" fixes—whether that’s a new pricing template, a streamlined approval path, or improved order handoff documentation.
Your Qualifications
-
6+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Revenue Operations, or Sales Finance. Previous experience in a "first point of contact" or high-volume triage environment is highly preferred.
-
Expert-level proficiency in Salesforce and CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) systems. You should be able to navigate complex object relationships and data flows with ease.
-
Strong ability to model deal economics, including ACR, price points, and gross margin. You can quickly assess the financial health of a deal and suggest creative alternatives.
-
A proven track record of operating as a "Swiss Army Knife"—equally comfortable discussing multi-year strategic enterprise shifts as you are auditing an order form for clerical errors.
-
Exceptional ability to manage high-pressure situations and communicate clearly with Sales teams. You can deliver a firm "no" when necessary while maintaining a collaborative, solution-oriented relationship.
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
