This team is focused on architecture and designing one of the world's most scalable and high-performance cloud data planes. It processes over 10 Gbps of traffic, leveraging cutting-edge techniques such as AI/ML for deep inspection to detect activities and enforce advanced policies, including DLP, Threat Protection, and UEBA, all at line rate.

As a Sr. Manager on the Netskope One CASB team, you will design and build cloud-native services that provide deep visibility, control, and protection across SaaS and GenAI applications. You’ll work on distributed systems, policy engines, integrations, and data protection capabilities that operate at global scale, without slowing users down.

What you will be doing

• Managing, mentoring, and coaching team members to foster their professional growth and support their career progression.

• Partnering with product managers and architects to oversee the design, development, and delivery of critical cloud security services deployed across 100+ data centers worldwide.

• Driving efforts to enhance product resilience and sustainability, ensuring reliable performance and scalability.

• Empowering teams to create high-quality, well-architected software solutions.

• Establishing and promoting best practices and maintaining high standards of code quality and hygiene throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills and Experience

Professional Experience:

• Minimum of 12+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 3+ years in a managerial role.

• Proven track record of building and leading high-performance engineering teams.

Leadership & Process Management:

• Expertise in defining and implementing effective engineering processes to drive high-quality business outcomes efficiently.

• Proven ability to manage and inspire diverse teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Experience in building a psychologically safe environment that encourages open communication, ownership, and creative problem-solving.

• Skilled in proactive performance management, including setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and conducting effective performance reviews.

Technical Expertise:

• Demonstrated technical accomplishments with strong engineering credibility.

• Advanced understanding of TCP, TLS, and HTTP protocols.

• Significant experience with HTTP Proxy technologies.

• Proficiency in security technologies such as SSL/TLS, certificate and key management, and network/web security solutions (e.g., firewalls, IDP/IPS, DNS-based security).

• Hands-on experience developing and managing distributed cloud services.

• Mastery in programming languages: C/C++, Go, and Python.

• Strong grasp of computer architecture, including multi-threading, CPU scheduling, and memory management.

• Deep knowledge of Linux at the systems level.

Software Development Practices:

• Advocate for Test-Driven Development (TDD) with expertise in a wide range of unit testing frameworks.

• Advanced understanding of algorithms and data structures for real-time, in-line data processing.

Skilled in recommending coding best practices and providing effective, actionable code review feedback.

Soft Skills:

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage openly, transparently, and consistently with teams and stakeholders.

• Strong customer focus, with a proactive, hands-on approach to meeting customer needs promptly.

Education

• BE in CS or equivalent required, ME/M Tech/MS in CS or equivalent strongly preferred
