The Role
We are seeking a creative and technical Senior UI Artist to define the visual gateway for one of our new immersive cloud-based game titles. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of artists, designers, and engineers to transform UX wireframes into stunning, production-ready assets, from intricate HUDs to sleek menu systems, while maintaining a cohesive visual style. You’ll do more than just design - you will be the architect of your art, integrating assets directly into the engine (Unity), managing optimizations for performance, and ensuring a seamless player experience.
If you are passionate about blending high-fidelity artistry with technical implementation and are eager to make a significant, tangible impact on global franchises in an inclusive and supportive environment, we would love to see the incredible things you can create with us!
Responsibilities:
Create high-quality UI assets (buttons, icons, menus, HUD elements, notifications, overlays, etc.) consistent with the project’s visual style and art direction
Translate UX-provided mockups, wireframes, and flow diagrams into polished, production-ready UI visuals
Collaborate closely with Art Directors, UX Designers, and Game Designers to ensure UI visuals support gameplay clarity and usability
Produce scalable, optimized, and engine-ready UI graphics suitable for various resolutions and platforms
Maintain and extend the project’s UI style guide, ensuring visual consistency across all UI elements
Implement and integrate UI assets directly into the game engine (e.g., Unity, Unreal), including setting up widgets, states, animations, and layouts
Create and manage UI materials, textures, atlases, and prefabs/blueprints to ensure efficient runtime performance
Troubleshoot and resolve visual or implementation issues related to UI assets in-engine
Work with engineers to ensure UI features function as intended and support iteration during development
Maintain organized asset libraries and documentation while helping improve UI art workflows
Skills and Abilities:
Experience with Figma, Photoshop, and Unity
Ability to create high-quality final art, understanding technical constraints, and asset optimization
Understanding visual design and interaction rules, and are passionate about typography and iconography
Experience in animation, motion design, and VFX
Solid knowledge of UX design and the ability to holistically visualize the game
Proactivity in giving and receiving feedback
Passion for mentorship and helping team members thrive
Experience:
Proven experience in creating UI for mobile games, or (AAA) console games
Experience working in a full production environment and releasing successful games
Experience working with diverse styles, particularly stylized environments
We aim high here at Next Games and will ask you to do the same. In exchange, you’ll be part of a team that is great to work with, who are dedicated and passionate about what we do.
Our guiding light in growing our team is that we don’t look for a culture fit — we look for what each person brings to our collective skillset, culture, and values to make them richer. Will you be the person to make us better?
