We are seeking an EHS Specialist who will support the UCAN EHS team. Our Department is new, growing, and designed to promote the health and safety of Netflix employees. This is an in-person role and will be based in our Los Angeles office. This person will report to the EHS Manager, UCAN.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an EHS Specialist who will champion and elevate Netflix’s commitment to a safe, healthy, and sustainable workplace. You will partner across functions and with our vendor community, ensuring that every Netflix location not only meets our high standards for excellence.
You will be a visible, proactive leader in our spaces, embedding a culture of safety and well-being that supports our colleagues’ emotional, functional, and physical experience. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, creative, quick-thinking, flexible, collaborative, and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and an unwavering attention to detail at all times. This is a demanding and fast-moving position that requires someone who is able to exercise good judgment and who takes significant initiative.

-
Partner with internal teams and vendors to embed EHS standards into daily operations, empowering all stakeholders as experience owners.
-
Foster a culture of accountability—if you see something, say something, and ensure follow-through.
Program Development & Continuous Improvement
-
Develop, maintain, and manage EHS programs, permits, procedures, and protocols that meet compliance and reflect Netflix’s high standards.
-
Regularly review and update written programs to ensure they remain current, relevant, and actionable.
-

-
Investigate accidents, incidents, exposures, and complaints; respond to emergencies with urgency and empathy.
-
Identify trends and patterns in incident data, drive root-cause analysis, and support teams with identifying corrective actions that are implementable
-
Communicate findings and lessons learned clearly and constructively to all affected personnel.
Quality, Consistency & Maintenance
-
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments; partner with local site teams to help ensure all spaces are safe, healthy and maintained with a relentless focus on excellence.
-
Track and report on key EHS metrics using insights to inform decisions and prevent future issues.
-
Ensure proactive and timely completion of planned maintenance, reducing reactive fixes through healthy systems and routines.
Employee Experience & Engagement
-
Deliver engaging EHS communications, education, and training that are clear, effective, and actionable.
-
Actively solicit and act on feedback from employees to enhance the emotional, functional, and physical experience of our workplaces.
-
Support and lead sustainability and wellness initiatives in alignment with Netflix’s broader goals.
Qualifications:
-
At least 5 years of experience working in environmental and safety compliance including familiarity with interpreting regulatory/policy language and understanding nuisances with authorities having jurisdiction
-
