We want licensed merchandise to help promote our titles and build them into franchises so they become part of the zeitgeist for long periods of time. That’s where you come in.The Role:
We are looking for a talented, collaborative and adaptable contracts and rights manager to join our Marketing, Ads and Consumer Products Legal team. You will be based in London and will primarily support our pan-EMEA consumer products business, with additional opportunities to support our brand partnerships contracting workflows.
If you’re excellent at organization, and have a high level of attention to detail, this may be the right role for you! You will be quick-thinking, adaptable to change, able to juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time and are self-motivated. You must be able to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight time-frames. You will work closely with the Netflix Consumer Products business team, as well as counterparts in various legal functions to analyse information necessary to guide the business team as they develop their products and programs.

This role will be responsible for the following elements

Review of various agreements (options, acquisition agreements, licenses, talent agreements) to confirm rights controlled by Netflix for exploitation in consumer products, experiences, marketing and brand partnerships;

Collaboration with product development, creative and marketing teams teams on rights and clearances for materials to be used on consumer products & marketing, including style guides or retail toolkits;

Uploading of contract terms into contracts management tool (and partnering with operations on improving such tools); and

Partnering with operations, finance/accounting and other cross functional partners on deal tracking, creative submissions and partner management questions.
Preferred candidate profile:
-
4+ years in contract review/analysis for a major studio, brand or similar organisation, ideally as contracts manager, contracts specialist, paralegal, or similar function. Familiarity with entertainment industry contracts is a plus.

You are intellectually curious, demonstrate great initiative and self-motivation, and you are excited and inspired by the Netflix culture.

You are collaborative, enjoy working as part of a geographically widespread team and are able to build great relationships across the business whilst continuing to work independently.

You have strong analytical capabilities and judgment, and a willingness to tackle matters outside your area of expertise.

You are comfortable assessing risk and making smart decisions in the face of ambiguity.

Fluent English is required; proficiency in Spanish, French or German is a plus.
