At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.
The Opportunity
The Coordinator, Product & Technology Communications is a key contributor responsible for helping promote and protect Netflix’s reputation for how we innovate on behalf of members. The ideal candidate has a deep curiosity for innovation and entertainment, and sees the value in setting a strong foundation through care and operational excellence to support the storytelling environment needed for our key audiences to understand where we stand and how we stand out.
This role sits at the heart of how we support storytelling around the Netflix member product experience and the innovation that underpins it.
In addition to supporting communications around the member product experience, this role will help keep the team organized and running smoothly — strengthening team workflows, supporting product storytelling, managing key owned editorial platforms, partnering closely with internal teams and agency partners, and ensuring alignment across the broader global communications function.
The role is based in Los Angeles, CA or Los Gatos, CA.
Responsibilities: Tasks are strategic, timely, and varied. They include but are not limited to:
Assisting with launch planning and major product events, working closely with entertainment comms and cross-functional partners to strengthen alignment and help connect additional storytelling dots.
Managing incoming speaking and tech blog requests; maintaining trackers and our team hub.
Building strong working relationships with PMs, designers, and other partners to stay plugged into roadmaps, opportunities, and cross-functional alignment.
Monitoring product, tech, and competitor news; sharing notable updates; and supporting media list maintenance and outreach (including scheduling introductory reporter briefings).
Fielding and routing incoming media inquiries and conducting research to support product and tech storytelling.
Owning our owned editorial channels and recurring content (e.g., the quarterly Speed/ISP Index), as well as close partnership with our Newsroom team to coordinate and own our announcements.
Supporting communications for member product updates — including owning our accessibility and globalization work, along with partnering on media relations and storytelling for evergreen or seasonal product stories.
Helping nurture early relationships with digital creators and identifying moments to include new media in product storytelling.
Qualifications
2+ years of communications-related experience at a tech company, entertainment studio, agency, or similar environment.
Strong interest in the intersection of entertainment and innovation.
Self-starter attitude with a passion for media relations, with a deep excitement for identifying and landing stories.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill and convey complex ideas clearly.
A systems thinker, with meticulous organizational skills, strong judgment, and an instinct for prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
Experience maintaining media lists, tracking coverage, supporting launches, or managing editorial workflows is a plus.
A proactive, resourceful, and positive approach; embodies Netflix values and takes initiative to drive impact.
A collaborative teammate who brings curiosity and thoughtful partnership.
