Through our Advisor Match marketplace, we connect consumers with trusted financial advisors. As we scale this vertical, we are advancing Nerd Wallet’s mission by making financial guidance more accessible. The Partnerships Lead will play an important role in scaling our Advisor Match marketplace by identifying and launching partnerships with Registered Investment Advisors. Reporting to the Head of Partnerships for RIA, this role will drive partner acquisition strategy and help shape the pricing, processes, and infrastructure that support sustainable marketplace growth and strengthen our position within the advisor ecosystem.
We are seeking a relationship-oriented leader with strong business judgment and a focus on execution. You build trust with a range of stakeholders, navigate negotiations thoughtfully, and manage multiple priorities with organization and clarity. You use data to inform decisions and adapt your approach to meet the needs of different audiences. Motivated by impact and growth, you collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to deliver a strong advisor experience and scale the marketplace responsibly and effectively.
WHERE YOU CAN MAKE AN IMPACT:

Drive marketplace growth by identifying, engaging, and launching new RIA partners, owning the full sales lifecycle from initial outreach through signed agreement and onboarding to meet quarterly revenue targets

Contribute to quarterly revenue goals by developing and managing a strong, well-qualified pipeline aligned to strategic priorities

Build and maintain targeted prospect lists and execute thoughtful, multi-channel outreach strategies across email, LinkedIn, referrals, and industry events

Design and refine scalable sales processes, cadences, and playbooks that improve partner onboarding rates and reduce time to launch

Develop deep expertise in the RIA ecosystem and competitive landscape to inform targeting, positioning, and long-term channel strategy

Represent Nerd Wallet at relevant industry conferences and events to build meaningful relationships and generate qualified opportunities

Partner cross-functionally to test and optimize messaging, pricing structures, and go-to-market approaches based on performance data and partner feedback

Continuously assess evolving market needs and share insights that influence product development, pricing strategy, and overall marketplace experience
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
-
6+ of experience in business development, partnerships, sales, or a related growth-focused role
-
Experience managing a full partnership or sales lifecycle, with demonstrated ability to build and convert a qualified pipeline against defined performance goals

Familiarity with the RIA, wealth management, financial services, or fintech ecosystem

Experience collaborating cross-functionally to influence pricing, go-to-market strategy, or partner experience
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to a range of audiences
-
Comfort using data and performance metrics to inform strategy and decision-making
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining organization and follow-through
-
Willingness to travel domestically up to 40% of the time to support partner development and industry engagement

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
