POSITION SUMMARY:
Natera is looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Product Manager to lead the development and commercialization of somatic biomarker products. In this highly visible and dynamic role, you will drive the product lifecycle, from prioritizing new features and programs to developing a strategic roadmap and enhancing product performance. Your work will directly impact patient care by providing innovative oncology solutions to healthcare providers and stakeholders. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, ensuring that our products deliver maximum value in the competitive oncology space.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product Strategy & Roadmap Development

Develop and execute the product roadmap for somatic biomarker products

Prioritize new features and initiatives, balancing customer needs and operational constraints

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Software Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Clinical/Medical, Operations, Regulatory, and Business Development, to ensure successful product execution
Product Performance & Improvement

Oversee product performance, identify key metrics, and collaborate with teams to drive continuous improvement strategies

Analyze performance data, develop actionable insights, and implement changes to improve product quality, efficiency, and market competitiveness
Market Research & Customer Insights

Conduct Voice of Customer (VOC) interviews, market research, and competitive analysis to inform product development and support growth

Leverage market insights to validate new features, enhance customer satisfaction, and ensure product-market fit
Business Case Development

Identify new business opportunities and create financial models to support product initiatives and strategic investments

Develop comprehensive business cases that align with company objectives and present data-driven strategies to senior leadership for alignment and buy-in
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication

Collaborate with Marketing to define product positioning, develop market launch strategies, and create compelling marketing collateral

Communicate the product vision, progress, and roadmap updates regularly to internal and external stakeholders

Ensure seamless collaboration between departments to achieve business objectives
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Statistics, Engineering, or related fields (Master’s or PhD preferred).

10+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in product management, product marketing, commercialization, or strategic consulting

Experience with oncology products, diagnostics, or medical devices, particularly in molecular testing or somatic biomarker testing, is strongly preferred

Proven track record of leading product management initiatives in the life sciences or biotech industry
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and influence cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals

In-depth understanding of core technologies and the ability to translate customer needs into compelling value propositions

Exceptional project and process management abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Basic financial modeling skills and the ability to develop business cases are a plus

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to senior leadership and drive cross-functional collaboration

Strong analytical skills for data-informed decision-making and identifying market opportunities
The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
