Test Automation

Job Description:

Manual Testing

• Develop comprehensive test cases for the entire business logic and workflow.
• Perform direct testing on the Web UI to detect display issues and functional bugs.
• Verify data accuracy as it travels from Edge devices to the workstation.
• Simulate real-world scenarios to evaluate system behavior and response.

Automation Testing

• Design and maintain automated test suites for the Web interface.
• Automate data flow verification from the Database layer to the UI.
• Build performance tests to monitor CPU and RAM consumption.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for quality control on every build.

System and Background Service Testing

• Monitor background services running on both Linux (Edge) and Windows platforms.
• Test system durability and stability during continuous 24/7 operation.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for incidents occurring at the service layer.
• Collaborate with C++ and Flutter developers to resolve system communication errors.

Data Management and Reporting

• Validate data integrity within SQLite/Postgres storage.
• Ensure data retention policies are functioning (e.g., auto-cleanup after 14 days).
• Provide detailed quality reports after each testing phase.
• Propose technical solutions to improve the overall stability of the application.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Software Engineer, Computer Science, or any relevant engineering field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant field.
• Hybrid Automation Frameworks: Proficiency in designing suites for Web (Selenium/Playwright) and CI/CD integration (Jenkins/GitHub Actions).
• Cross-Platform System Testing: Experience monitoring background services on both Linux (Edge/IoT) and Windows environments.
• Database Proficiency: Ability to perform complex data validation and retention testing in Postgres and SQLite.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Strong technical debugging skills to identify service-layer failures.
• Effective Cross-Functional Communication: Soft skill required to bridge the gap between C++ (Backend) and Flutter (Frontend) developers.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• C++ or Dart (Flutter) Basics: Ability to read/understand the codebase for deeper white-box testing.
• Performance Benchmarking: Specific experience monitoring hardware resources (CPU/RAM) under 24/7 load.
• Scripting for Edge Devices: Python or Bash scripting for automating tasks on Linux Edge workstations.
