We’re seeking someone to join our NFRT AI Technology team and drive key initiatives forward as an accomplished Full Stack Developer with technical leadership experience and expertise in GenAI technologies.

This is a Full Stack Developer position, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

The Non-Financial Risk AI Technology Team is delivering GenAI and Agentic solutions for the Non-Financial Risk Technology program and Firm: These systems will deliver scalable, governed, and resilient solutions supporting all aspects of AI-related delivery across 1000 developers, 11 departments, and hundreds of business partners addressing critical functions including as Financial Crimes, Fraud, Resilience, Surveillance, and more. The team is responsible for developing advanced capabilities that empower software developers across the entire SDLC by facilitating rapid, AI-assisted coding, requirement gathering, review, governance, deployment, and architecture design, and more.

What you’ll do in the role:

Design, develop, and implement scalable solutions using primarily Python and some Java as part of an Agile squad delivering with a dynamic, global fleet and associated squads.

Leverage Generative AI tools and coding assistants to enhance development velocity and solution quality.

Collaborate with global teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Participate in Agile meetings, deliver project status, and adapt to evolving regulatory and business requirements.

Learn, improve, and apply Morgan Stanley's proprietary frameworks and best practices.

Write comprehensive tests to ensure code reliability and maintainability
-
Respond proactively to change, mastering new technical and business concepts as needed.

Proven leadership and communication abilities; experience integrating, leveraging, and influencing teams, developers, and programs within a large enterprise
What you’ll bring to the role:
-
Python: Overall 7+ years of development experience with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Python. Proven ability to write optimized, efficient, and clean code.

GenAI Coding Assistant: Experience with coding assistants like copilot, using Agent mode, Skills, etc.
-
Databases: Proficiency in RDBMS and NoSQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and related technologies.

SDLC : Experience with DevOps practices: CI/CD pipeline management, containerization, observability tools.
-
Analytical Skills: Ability to design and implement effective solutions to complex problems.
-
Teamwork & Communication: Strong work ethic, collaborative spirit, and clear communication skills, both oral and written.
-
Testing: Ability to write thorough unit tests covering all major logic components, preferably using coding assistant.
Some skills you might also bring to the role:
-
GenAI application development: Usage of LLM models for application, Agentic implementation, usage of tools to integrate data into LLM context, MCP tools and infrastructure, A2A design and development, data solutions for RAG and vector storage, prompt and context authoring, and more.

Experience with vendor or open source agent frameworks and SDKs such as Azure Foundry, Copilot Studio, etc.

UI development using Angular / React Framework.

Linux/Unix & Shell Scripting: Solid working knowledge.

Advanced coding and database skills, query and code optimization.

Exposure to various application designs and patterns for web, batch, and streaming.

Experience working in global Agile Scrum teams.
