Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Equity Division (IED) is a world leader in the origination, distribution and trading of equity, equity-linked and equity-derivative securities. Global Markets Group is the offshoring arm of Morgan Stanley’s Sales & Trading businesses in India. It covers functions across IED ranging from those associated with sales, trading, analytics, strats to risk management.

Background on the Team:

The Sales Assistant will support the on-shore sales by handling the operational, documentation, coordination and lifecycle aspects of structured as well as option trades and assist in onboarding clients, distribution and idea generation. The role will be a combination of execution & analytics and act as a link between sales, trading, structuring, issuance and middle office/back office.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as a backup for China Derivatives Sales Desk, provide operational and data analytic support to the Sales Desk
  • Help with post trade works including booking trades, filling in TS, sending Trade Recaps to the clients, following up with settlement and confirmation issues. Ensure front-to-back workflow accuracy
  • Reconciliate of all OTC and RSP trades
  • Act as the point of contact between Operations groups and sales, solve booking, margin and settlement issues
  • Track the termination and rolling status of outstanding trades, remind sales and trading team of the expiry
  • Handle client onboarding and maintain client profile
  • Provide ideas to improve the current processes/workflows

Skills desired:

  • Minimum one year experience in Equity Derivatives, Good knowledge of Equity Derivatives products, China securities market knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to multitask and support different products Good analytical skills
  •  Coding skill is a plus
  •  Good command of spoken & written in English
