We're seeking someone to join our Spend and Third-Party Management (STPM) Technology team as a Senior Data Architecture Specialist in Non-Financial Risk Technology to play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining data integration solutions and support both new and existing systems, encompassing data warehouses and extraction processes within Source to Pay functional areas.

This is a Lead Software Engineering position at Vice-President level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models and design enterprise data architecture, including data warehouses, data lakes, and integration pipelines (ETL/ELT).

  • Translate complex business requirements into technical data strategies, aligning data infrastructure with organizational goals.

  • Establish data governance frameworks, define data standards, and implement security measures to ensure compliance.

  • Select appropriate database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Cloud platforms like Snowflake, AWS) and optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing.

  • Stay current with emerging data technologies and trends to continuously improve the data ecosystem.

  • Onboard firm standard ETL & AI tools working with SMEs.

  • Design and support strategic reporting tools end-to-end such as Power BI, Tableau.

  • Lead Integration solution between SaaS applications and Morgan Stanley.

  • Represent the technology team at the fleet ceremonies, such as Incremental Business Reviews.

  • Drive continuous improvement across delivery and client success functions.

  • Collaborate closely with technical leads and functional analysts to develop and enhance data pipelines while driving continuous improvement of integrations.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 10 years of experience working as a hands-on developer in databases such as Python, Postgres, DB2, shell scripting (i.e., Bash or KSH) and ETL technologies.

  • Worked extensively on data integration, designing, and developing reusable interfaces.

  • Worked extensively on Python libraries such as Pandas, Py Spark.

  • Proven experience leading large, complex client engagements, technology, or transformation initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and principles.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with an ability to influence at the executive level.

  • Demonstrated experience designing and executing enablement or transformation programs.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

  • Working knowledge of AI-driven insights or automation to support smarter decision-making and delivery optimization.

  • Previous experience with Source to Pay toolset is a plus.
