Finance Regulatory Controller – Director (AVP)
Glasgow

Regulatory Controllers are responsible for ensuring that Morgan Stanley maintains adequate capital resources to meet the firm’s investment business commitments and to withstand the risks to which the business is subject, e.g. Market Risk and Counterparty Risk.  Regulatory Controllers form part of the wider Financial Control Group. The Regulatory Controller team in Glasgow has responsibility for a series of regulatory capital processes and projects across Market Risk, Credit Risk, Own Funds and Leverage.

Given this broad remit, the team works closely with a wide range of clients and stakeholders globally, including the Credit Risk and Market Risk departments, Operations, Regulatory Policy, and various Business Units. This breadth of interaction provides an excellent opportunity to learn and interact with a range of businesses and products across the firm. The Regulatory Controller team in Glasgow is part of the Global Regulatory Controller function with colleagues in London, Frankfurt, New York, Budapest, and Mumbai.

We currently have an exciting opportunity within the Capital Initiatives team within Glasgow Reg Control. The successful candidate will drive forward multiple initiatives and project workstreams, for example ‘B3EG’ (the Basel Committee for Banking Supervision (BCBS) proposed finalisation of Basel 3 capital requirements), as well as other capital related initiatives, including the preparation and execution of data-related reviews, driving run the bank improvements and implementation within current capital systems and future state builds.
