We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Derivatives Operations – Vice President to lead a global team responsible for Global Derivative Reconciliations, Collateral Management oversight, and Onboarding governance, supporting MSIM Middle Office teams across Europe, North America, and APAC. The team covers broker, custodian, fund accountant, and client reconciliation across all derivative asset classes including but not limited to F&O, IRS, CDS, CDX, TRS, FX and Equity derivatives. The team also manages lifecycle exception oversight and cross functional coordination for collateral and onboarding.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Department Manager position at Vice President level within the Product Support & Services IM, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Demonstrate deep expertise across the full derivatives lifecycle, including trade capture, validation, lifecycle event processing, settlements, margining, and reconciliations for OTC and listed products.

  • Lead either the Derivatives Trade Support or Portfolio Reconciliation function, providing operational leadership, escalation management, and strong control oversight across daily workflows.

  • Provide governance and oversight for Margin (Collateral) Management, ensuring timely margin calls, dispute governance, exposure monitoring, and alignment with internal risk and regulatory standards.

  • Oversee Onboarding workflows, ensuring accurate static data setup, ISDA/CSA coordination, KYC completeness, and timely trading readiness across new funds, accounts, and counterparties.

  • Strengthen operational and control frameworks, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, risk policies, and audit readiness across reconciliation, collateral, and onboarding.

  • Partner with global stakeholders, including Trading, Risk, Fund Accounting, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Custodians, and Brokers.

  • Drive process standardization and automation, leveraging tools such as Tri Resolve / Tri Optima, Aladdin, DUCO, DTCC/Markit platforms.

  • Provide mentorship and leadership to reconciliation teams and act as a senior escalation point across collateral and onboarding.

  • Represent the Mumbai Derivatives Operations team in global governance meetings, incident reviews, audits, and strategic initiatives

  • Set the vision for the direction of your team in conjunction with global peer group ensuring consistent execution, strong control framework, business enablement and process adherence within all local regulations

  • Take responsibility for talent acquisition, developing a bench of talent, and creating a plan for succession

  • Run the operation as a business by considering client service needs, cost effectiveness and the department’s automation and efficiency agenda

  • Partner directly with peers across Business Units and / or external stakeholders to provide input and execute on strategy and future state of their respective group

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 14–18 years of relevant Derivatives Operations or Middle Office experience, including leadership responsibilities.

  • Deep understanding of OTC & listed derivatives, valuation, lifecycle events, and exposure management.

  • Strong knowledge of reconciliation processes (positions, cash, valuations).

  • Familiarity with BRS Aladdin, Tri Resolve/Tri Optima, DUCO, DTCC/Markit Wire platforms.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Proven problem-solving ability with strong control mindset.

  • Ability to collaborate across global time zones and lead teams in a high-pressure environment

  • Can convey trust and confidence to influence stakeholders in the decision-making process to affect strategy and prepared to challenge where necessary

  • Sound judgment without compromising control

  • Role model that advocates for your team, motivates and engages staff to achieve vision and inspire respect; supports and promotes the Firm’s vision and values
