Private Wealth Management (PWM) is a division of Morgan Stanley focused on delivering financial advisory resources to ultra-high net worth individuals, foundations and endowments.  The UHNW Advisor Innovation and Solutions team serves the PWM portfolio of businesses, including PWM, IWM, FOR and GSE.   The team is seeking a well-rounded analyst with a broad array of interests.

The analyst will be responsible for creating and maintaining various projects involving vendor management, competitive research, strategic initiatives, advisor training, operational and LRC support.  Analysts must be able to work as part of a team but also have the ability to work individually with limited direction.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop presentations for PWM leadership for both internal and external utilization
  • Manage existing and new vendor relationships, including budgeting, billing and technology requirements
  • Support content creation efforts, including liaising with internal partners to enhance training needs of organization
  • Coordinate and manage legal, risk and compliance process for PWM business
  • Manage operational support of new billing constructions and execution
  • Develop pipeline of strategic projects and requests from the field
  • Support relationships with outside asset management partners, including prioritizing and organizing content
  • Facilitate strategic guidance for in-bound FA, PWA and Support Professional inquiries

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience, with financial industry or related experience preferred
  • B.A. required, other industry designations and licensing preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills – analyst will have interaction with Private Wealth Advisors and internal partners
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of global financial markets
  • Competence with basic investment firm utilized software programs (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • A demonstrated commitment to both partnership and teamwork, and initiative to proactively address challenges as they arise
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects
