Profile Description

We’re seeking someone to join our Parametric team as a Dot Net Lead, to work on Dotnet Application Development and Designing with good exposure on C#, Dotnet, AWS / Azure, React / Angular and Database

Parametric is part of Morgan Stanley Investment Management, the asset management division of Morgan Stanley. We partner with advisors, institutions, and consultants to build portfolios focused on what's important to them and their clients. A leader in custom solutions for more than 30 years, we help investors access efficient market exposures, solve implementation challenges, and design multi-asset portfolios that respond to their evolving needs. This is a Lead Software Engineer position at Vice President Level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Act as the owner of one or more major sub-systems within our Digital Platform.

  • Provide people and technical leadership across globally distributed teams.

  • Collaborate with business partners to understand strategic objectives, translate them into actionable implementation plans, and drive delivery with accountability.

  • Lead the design and development of features on the Digital roadmap.

  • Enhance the client experience by building engaging, performant, and resilient applications and APIs.

  • Design and/or enhance solution and technical architecture to optimize performance, reliability, and scalability.

  • Contribute to automated testing via unit, integration, and functional test suites.

  • Support the evolution of our architecture to become more flexible, testable, and intuitive to use.

  • Continue to learn, innovate, and raise engineering standards while meeting product delivery goals.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 12+ years of experience building full‑stack web applications and REST APIs using .NET (C#/ASP.NET Core). Java is a plus

  • 5+ years of experience leading globally distributed engineering teams with people‑management responsibilities

  • 5+ years of cloud‑native development experience on AWS preferred, Azure is a plus

  • Experience designing and delivering public‑facing web applications and secure public APIs

  • Strong experience implementing authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC)

  • Hands‑on experience with event‑driven and microservices architectures

  • Experience configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab)

  • Proficiency with Git source control and modern branching practices

  • Experience contributing to automated testing, including unit and integration tests

  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments such as Scrum or Kanban

  • Demonstrated technical leadership in cloud solution architecture, engineering best practices, and operational ownership

  • Proven ability to translate business strategy into executable delivery plans and measurable outcomes

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across business and engineering stakeholders

  • Ability to mentor engineers, build consensus, and foster an inclusive, high‑performing team environment

  • Experience with Front‑end frameworks such as Angular, React, and JavaScript/TypeScript

  • Proven Experience with SQL Server (or other RDBMS) and MongoDB (or other NoSQL databases)

  • Experience using Jira (or equivalent project management tools)

  • At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.

Good to Have Skills

  • Financial services or fintech industry experience is a plus
