We're seeking someone to join out team as a Network Management Tools Engineer to work on multiple products and projects in a global organization to facilitate the work of network operations and to improve the stability of the Firm’s global data and voice network. The team's responsibility includes Engineering, Integration and Development and Operations of Network Configuration Management, Network Monitoring, Network Security and Network Packet Inspection Tools across both Vendor Made Solutions (Cisco, HPNA-Microfocus / Sev One / Broadcom-Spectrum / Ansible / Forward Enterprise / c Packet / Corvil) and many in-house developments. The Network Automation and Tooling Team has a requirement for a full-time member to assist their global team in the Budapest office.

This is a Network Management Tools Engineer position, which is part of the job family responsible for driving innovation, developing technology roadmaps, and providing vision and strategic direction to align technology initiatives with long-term business objectives, fostering a culture of excellence, growth and transformation across the organization.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Lead and guide one of our Network Tool Engineering team to deliver and support Vendor Network Tools.

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of vendor tools: integration, certification, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot tool operations, run interoperability tests, and manage tool integrations.

  • Align, and coordinate strategic and operational activities with Network Engineering, Operations, and Automation teams.

  • Act as the go-to expert for network management tools and represent your team to senior leadership

  • Work with vendors on updates, upgrades, and bug fixes.

  • Participate in design reviews and share your knowledge across teams.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • At least 8 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

  • Leadership experience in network automation, vendor tool integration and life-cycle management with Agile know-how.

  • Experience in automating network infrastructure (Python, shell scripting, config management tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt).

  • Experience in DevOps (Jenkins, GitLab), plus a strong Linux background.

  • Solid understanding of network devices, protocols (SNMP, Syslog, NTP, DNS, LDAP), and APIs.

  • Telecom/networking knowledge (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, PBX; CCNA-level or higher).

  • Experience with technical asset lifecycle and enterprise infrastructure (servers, storage, authentication).
