We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Java developer, who can take ownership for the whole end to end delivery, performing analysis, design, coding, testing, and maintenance of large-scale and distributed applications.
Institutional Securities_ Technology
Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. IST’s ‘clients’ include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, Prime Brokerage and Global Capital Markets.
Advisory & Sales Distribution
Advisory is responsible for end-to-end process life cycle support for Investment Banking, Global Capital Markets and Research with a focus on efficiency, scale, and time to market. Sales Distribution develops technology for the firm's IED and FID Sales and Distribution business units, creating application synergies across the businesses various platforms
Software Engineering
This is Director position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:
- We are looking for a Java developer, who can take ownership for the whole end to end delivery, performing analysis, design, coding, testing, and maintenance of large-scale and distributed applications.
- The successful candidate will be a highly motivated team player and is likely to have significant experience in application development, a strong technical background and good communication skills.
- He/she will interact directly with the users and with other technologists across the firm when using their framework/software.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Must have 6 years of experience in software development and testing.
- Sound understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis, Design and Programming, familiarity with Design Patterns.
- Excellent working knowledge of the following technologies: Java, Spring Boot, Services (HTTP/REST), JDBC & Messaging (MQ).
- Strong database DDL/DML Skills with MS-SQL/Sybase, familiarity with joins, writing and debugging stored procedures.
- Hands on experience in working with testing and code quality frameworks like Junit, Mockito, and Sonar Qube
- Hands on experience in creating Jenkins based CI/CD pipelines for builds and deployments.
- Experience of iterative / agile /SCRUM development practices.
- Exposure to working in a global delivery team.
- Comfortable with direct interaction with the business users at all levels.
- Knowledge and working level experience in Python.
- Prior experience in investment banking.
