The SPG Lending Strats team supports Morgan Stanley’s originators, underwriters, and asset managers in lending on a wide variety of asset types, from aircraft to artwork, along with more traditional lending like residential warehouses and commercial real estate. Coming in as an intermediate front-end developer, you would be responsible primarily for the development and maintenance of Leads, an in-house developed platform used by over 500 salespeople and managers to track client interactions from first point-of-contact through to closed trades.
Your tasks would include
- Coordinate with business users to understand their workflows and design features/modules in Leads
- Design, implement, and test changes for Leads
- Communicate with other teams to coordinate data flows and upgrades
- Risk/PnL analysis, modelling and reporting

You're good at
- Developing applications in React or other JavaScript frameworks
- Working on the server-side with at least one backend technology
- Querying and manipulating databases (SQL or other)
- Seeing the problem from the user’s point of view and creating intuitive solutions
- Understanding business needs and translating them into technical solutions by working directly with end users
- You have an eye for detail, and are good at developing friendly, easy-to-use GUIs
Extra awesome
- KDB experience or willingness to learn (for the back-end)
- Interest in learning about finance and securitized products
