We're seeking someone to join our Prime Brokerage Custody Technology team as a Lead Java Developer in Prime Brokerage & Sec Fin Tech Developer to lead a team of developers building captivating, robust, highly scalable, time sensitive and cloud ready transaction processing systems in a modern technology stack, working as part of a global fleet.

This is a Lead Software Engineering position at Vice President level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:

• Collaborate with clients (external), internal users and onshore/offshore teams in delivering state-of-the transaction processing platform.

• Be involved with developing our platform including electronic trading, capture of assets, processing and matching engines, workflow and rules engines, facilitate clearing and settlement, deliveries in/out of multiple assets - adapting and customizing them.

• Lead a squad of developers and provide guidance and mentorship to ensure delivery of new functionality for users and help grow members of the team.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

• At least 8 years of relevant experience.

• At least 1-2 years in a leadership position (tech lead or team lead).

• Strong architecture, design and implementation fundamentals for domain/event/message driven architecture and REST services.

• Strong experience in developing enterprise-level systems using Java / Spring, including automated testing.

• Strong experience in implementing multi-threaded applications and performance analysis.

• Experience leading a team of developers; working as part of a global team a big plus.

• Hands on experience with modern distributed technologies such as messaging brokers (e.g. Kafka) and distributed caching solutions.

• Experience with relational databases.

• Understanding of Docker and container orchestration.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
