Team Overview

The EMEA Equity Structured Derivatives business is expanding at significant pace. To maintain growth and ensure a robust risk and control framework, Morgan Stanley is looking to expand its Transactions Management group (TMG) team. The primary area of focus for this role will be Structured Products and an in-depth knowledge of these products is essential. The role involves a broad mix of Sales and Trading transaction management support.
The role will have broad exposure across all Equity Structured Derivatives Sales and Trading teams, COO, BCU, LCD, and Operations functions. While the regional focus will be EMEA, global coordination is a key requirement. The candidate should have broad front-to-back experience with the products, excellent collaboration and communication skills, and is motivated by driving forward positive change.

What will you be doing?

  • Providing transactional support to EMEA TMG in relation to structured products (i.e. notes, certificates or warrants) issued by a Morgan Stanley entity in relation to the following:
    o drafting and/or reviewing documentation such as Final Terms, Pricing Supplements and key information documents.
    o advising Sales on whether payoffs are captured in the Base Prospectus.
    o assisting Sales with new initiatives relating to the structured products business.
  • Working closely with Sales, Trading, Structuring and Operations on matters relating to the structured products business.
  • Overseeing more junior members of the team.
    What we're looking for:
  • Extensive experience in Structured Products including an in-depth knowledge of the Prospectus Regulation and public offer rules in EEA jurisdictions.
  • Qualified in English law with training from a top law firm.
  • Previous experience of legal documentation automation would be desirable.
  • Experience of managing a team preferred.
  • Candidates must: (i) have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; (ii) have excellent attention to detail, and (iii) be organised, pro-active, able to multi-task and work efficiently to tight deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Excel preferred.
  • Proficiency in English a must, and another European language desirable.
