We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Vice President in Credit Risk Fixed Structured Lending - Commercial Real Estate team.
In the Firm Risk Management division, we advise businesses across the Firm on risk mitigation strategies, develop tools to analyze and monitor risks and lead key regulatory initiatives.

What you'll do in the role:
Job specific functions include:
- Manage a large team (>5 FTEs) of professionals responsible for providing high quality credit due diligence on underlying secured lending portfolio backed by CRE loans.
- The team lead will provide oversight of the credit analysis, credit rating assignment and risk management for the assigned team portfolio
- The team lead will also cover collateral monitoring and valuation assessments for the above mentioned portfolio of secured lending facilities.
- The team lead will also monitor a portfolio of borrowers themself.
Primary duties include:
Individual contribution:
- Responsible for the financial and credit analysis for an assigned coverage portfolio
- Track and monitor industry trends, borrower compliance for assigned coverage portfolio
- Present and discuss credit views internally on assigned coverage portfolio, including rating and regulatory classification recommendation
Team management:
- Reviewing credit analysis performed by the team
- Oversee the tracking and monitoring over of industry trends
- Prepare team to present and discuss credit views internally on assigned coverage portfolio, including rating and regulatory classification recommendation
- Oversee the tracking and monitoring of borrower compliance in accordance with contractual terms and Firm requirements for the assigned coverage portfolio;
- Training new team members and ensuring continued growth in technical expertise of team members.
What you'll bring to the role::
Skills Required:
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Quantitative orientation
- Ability to manage dynamic priorities
- Finance and/or accounting degree preferable
- Knowledge of the loan origination and collateralized structured lending preferred
- Experience in Commercial Real Estate loan underwriting is mandatory
- Minimum 8.5 years of relevant experience
- Masters or equivalent professional qualification (CFA, CA, CPA, etc preferred)
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as requested by onshore teams and senior stakeholders
- Possess strong problem identification and solution techniques
- Good collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment
