Department Overview:

In the Wealth Management division, we help people, businesses and institutions build, preserve, and manage wealth so they can pursue their financial goals

Wealth Management (WM) Platforms manages industry-leading platforms, across all WM channels and client segments, to provide a unified digital experience, unlock growth, and deliver efficiencies for Advisors, Clients, and Institutions. WM Platforms consists of nine sub-teams including: Field Experience & Platforms, Digital Client Experience & Platforms, Workplace Platforms, Automation & Workflow Solutions, Digital Trading & Investing, UX Design & Research, Strategy & Execution. Business Control & Support, and the Chief Operating Office.

The Field Experience & Platforms Team is responsible for delivering and maintaining a best-in-class, holistic wealth management experience for our Advisors to meet our clients wherever they are throughout their life-cycle.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Support the business management functions across the ~200 person WMFEP organization including but not limited to: organization events, headcount & hiring management, and other core business management functions

  • Develop Senior Management level presentations to share key information and status updates regarding strategic project updates across the WMFEP platform

  • Work across WM to support the implementation & execution of key program and platform initiatives

  • Have a high level of interaction with senior leaders of MSWM as well as functional leads across the firm

  • Lead ad-hoc project management efforts & strategic initiatives as they arise

Skills Required:

  • The role will require an individual with strong analytical, project management, presentation and communication skills who is capable of multitasking and collaborating with internal and external partners.

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 3-5 years of experience in financial services, wealth management, product management and/or business strategy/management related fields

  • Deep experience solving business problems, improving complex processes, establishing business strategy, and leading large-scale initiatives

  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to define complex business problems, synthesize data, and execute on tactical and strategic solutions

  • Ability to be solutions- and detail-oriented and quickly turnaround high-quality work without sacrificing speed or accuracy

  • Ability to develop a meaningful and effective network across divisions and innate ability to collaborate effectively and lead others outside of a direct reporting-line

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive change and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Ability to work collaboratively across teams and senior stakeholders.

Proactive self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and work ethic

Track record of success and a demonstrated ability to exercise good judgement and discretion

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly in Excel, Power

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs
