MS At Work Technology is part of Wealth & Investment technology delivers solutions and services primarily supporting Corporate business comprising of Corporate Stock Plans, Executive Financial Services, 10B5-1 Plans, Retirement solution. Role Requirements
Looking for a senior leader with a pioneering mindset to lead the Stock Plan Services technology team in India. The team provides application development, platform enhancement and reengineering to the Corporate Services clients and business users. The candidate will work with the product, business users as well as with other IT teams across the Wealth Management organization for implementing multi-platform technology solutions.
The position requires the ability to play multiple roles of Coach, Manager, Leader, Architect and Development Manager. The candidate will participate with other technology leaders to set future strategy and be responsible for oversight to the on-going projects and interact with a culturally and technically diverse community from DB, API, and full-stack developers, project/program managers to engineering/infrastructure teams and executive management. The role requires effectively managing projects, teams, and vendors.
The Candidate will play a key role in managing the team and will:
- Work with senior business & product partners and Program Management team to define strategy and deliver solutions
- Evaluate the projects architecture and identify opportunities for broadening the scope of the solution
- Help with deepening Gen AI, agile adoption, and processes to increase productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness across distributed resources pools
- Help rationalization and modernization of technology platforms
- Meet regulatory and risk expectations
- Partner with LOB on target platform solution and priorities
- Resource planning, employee engagement and retention
- Be self-motivated, flexible, highly adaptable, excellent team player and mentor, and be prepared to work in a global virtual team along with US and India team members
Skills Required
- 12+ years of managing development teams in a high paced, pressure-oriented environment
- Proven track record managing the development of large scale multi-tiered applications in a distributed, web & cloud environments
- Exposure to adopting frameworks and extending frameworks for development
- Strong people management and development skills
- Demonstrated track record of managing multiple development projects
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), influencing and negotiation skills
- Ability to develop and foster relationships with other leaders & resources outside of direct control
- Experience of adopting and implementing Agile
- Experience with performance trouble shooting and remediation
Technical Skills
- Languages
- Proficient in CORE Java/J2EE, Concurrency, Generics, Transactions, JDBC, Spring
- Experience with Multi-threading, Asynchronous code, Garbage collector tuning, Memory profiling, Transaction management
- Database: Relational database design, Schema modelling, Indexing, Performance tuning
- Messaging: Either one of IBM MQ, JMS or Kafka
- Minimum 5+ years' experience of designing Distributed applications, Fault tolerance and recovery, Performance Engineering, Scaling
- Exposure on Continuous Integration/Delivery pipelines, Mature DevOps practices like A/B testing, Blue-Green/Canary deployments, Trunk based development
