We’re seeking someone to join our team as an Associate in Market Risk Team.

In the Firm Risk Management division, we advise businesses across the Firm on risk mitigation strategies, develop tools to analyse and monitor risks and lead key regulatory initiatives.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Participate in setting and executing data standards, data architecture, data processes and requirements for the Market Risk Department and the Risk Management Division
  • Participate in various data-related strategic programs targeting BCBS 239 implementation across the Firm (e.g. Risk Data Catalog, Risk Data Aggregation, Data Lineage, etc.)
  • Deliver high quality management information to support senior stakeholders across the Firm in discussions and in the decision-making process for data-related projects
  • Support firmwide data strategy efforts and represent the interest of the Market Risk Department
  • Interface and manage relationships with internal stakeholders within the wider Risk Management Division, the Technology Division and the Front Office

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Market Risk Data experience.
  • Good Understanding of risk management concepts and financial products across asset classes.
  • Ability to work independently, proactively and taking ownership.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking
  • Control mindset with attention to details.
  • Advanced Excel, VBA programming & SQL. Knowledge of Python will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree, Engineering or Finance is a plus
