We're seeking someone to join our team as, Pricing & Valuation Associate which is responsible for daily pricing and valuation oversight ensuring comprehensive compliance with the firm's valuation policy and procedures. This role will be part of a team accountable for assisting management with developing and implementing controls related to Morgan Stanleys middle office Pricing & Valuation platform.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Senior Professional position at** Associate level within the Core Service,**which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert within Pricing and Valuation, working with Team Manager to manage processes, risks and/or projects, proposing and implementing improvements/changes
  • Act as key problem solver for area of expertise, applying detailed knowledge to address unique or novel situations, recognize risks and draw out key issues
  • Coordinate work, train and develop other team members where required, including task allocation, and project contributions
  • Build and manage relationships with business unit partners, other Morgan Stanley infrastructure departments, and external contact points in Client or Market organizations
  • Develop a sound governance framework for middle office pricing utilizing the Aladdin platform.
  • Ensuring comprehensive compliance with the firm's valuation policy and risk control environment
  • Addressing, escalating and resolving valuation exceptions properly
  • Monitoring and oversight of activities performed by the firm's Pricing Team at third party service providers

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Ability to lead by example, work with drive and determination, and put forward challenging views to senior levels
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of functional area of operational/compliance policies and procedures within the pricing and valuation team
  • Ability to operate independently across a majority of day-to-day responsibilities
  • Culture carrier across Operations, embracing the Firm's core values and acting as a role model.
  • A strong understanding of the institutional investment management industry and valuation knowledge across all equity, fixed income, derivative, fund, and currency investment instruments
  • Knowledge of global pricing and valuation regulatory environment and industry trends
  • At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
