Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Social Media Strategist to join our Brand Marketing team. This individual will be responsible for shaping and executing social media strategies that amplify the firm's brand and engage key stakeholders across digital platforms. The ideal candidate is equal parts strategist and storyteller, with experience creating engaging social media content and managing corporate channels in a complex, highly regulated environment.
As part of a collaborative, high-performing team, you'll have the opportunity to influence the digital presence of a leading global financial services firm. This role offers exposure to senior leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and a culture that values partnership, professional growth, and the balance of creativity with discipline.

Primary Responsibilities
> Execute the firm's social media strategy across corporate channels to support brand, thought leadership, and business priorities.
> Translate business objectives into best-in-class social content that resonates with audiences and grows communities.
> Serve as a content creator and produce engaging social media assets that promote thought leadership, firm initiatives, and market commentary.
> Collaborate with internal stakeholders, creative teams, and business partners to produce high-quality copy, graphics, and video.
> Oversee the corporate LinkedIn, X, and Meta accounts, including channel strategy, publishing and community engagement.
> Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to ensure all content meets regulatory requirements.
> Ensure consistency of voice, brand standards, and regulatory compliance across all posts.
> Provide counsel on best practices, platform use, and engagement strategies.
> Stay ahead of industry, competitor, and platform trends to continuously optimize performance.

Requirements

> Bachelor's Degree required with 6+ years of relevant experience in social media marketing; financial services or regulated industry experience preferred.
> Proven success developing and managing corporate social media programs.
> Deep experience with content creation and creative platforms, including Canva.
> Experience using social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Netbase Quid, Proofpoint Patrol).
> Demonstrated success in launching new social media channels and cultivating highly engaged communities.
> Superior writing and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and platforms.
> Seasoned project manager, able to collaborate cross-functionally to keep projects on track and aligned with social media objectives.
> Strong interpersonal and executive presence skills.
> Self-motivated and able to exercise independent judgment and decision making to bring solutions and deliver exceptional results.
> Ability to balance creativity with discipline in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment.
> Interest in AI and exploring new use cases for marketing and social media.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $104,000 and $151,500 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
