We’re seeking someone to join our team as an Director in Credit Risk team.

In the Firm Risk Management division, we advise businesses across the Firm on risk mitigation strategies, develop tools to analyse and monitor risks and lead key regulatory initiatives.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Perform portfolio analysis taking a holistic view of the customer to derive key insights to support a variety of strategic business initiatives – e.g. enhanced customer segmentation approaches to refine underwriting strategy and processes.
  • Perform analyses to support enhancements to stress testing methodologies for Wealth Management Securities Based Lending Business line using the Upfront Market Shock Model
  • Collaborate with Credit Risk Coverage to develop and enhance stress testing methodologies and modeling approaches for the Upfront Shock Model
  • Produce and present business analytics for partners in Credit Risk Coverage and the Wealth Management business unit
  • Produce documentation and presentations to effectively communicate key information to senior management and regulators
  • Independently manage highly complex credit portfolios and build deep knowledge on Bank or Margin Lending and Traded products. Focus on developing deep domain knowledge and SME capabilities. Stay updated on various products, develop industry knowledge and its impact our business, and proactively discuss / share opinions with senior coverage stakeholders.
  • Analyze wealth management and lending portfolios to identify vulnerabilities, concentrations, and risk drivers that could impact credit quality during stressed environments.
  • Conceptualization and ability to develop/refine macroeconomic and idiosyncratic stress scenarios relevant to broker dealer and security-based lending activities
  • Work closely with credit Coverages and first line risk teams to ensure stress testing outcomes are integrated into business strategy and risk appetite decisions
  • Identify opportunities to enhance stress testing methodologies, tools, and systems in response to evolving market conditions, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and partner with colleagues across the globe to achieve your goals and to gain insight into how a global organization works.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide them necessary trainings and oversight to ensure good quality deliverables.
  • Manage a team of 2-3 Analysts/Associates in terms of personal development, oversee production to ensure deliverables are on time and are of high quality, and provide timely feedback.
  • Manage escalations, and show a strong inclination towards problem solving and innovation
  • Contribute to production and recognize proper delegation, setting of team goals and work on synergies across different teams.
  • Lead key CRM projects globally and deliver tangible outcomes. Independently identify opportunities and drive projects aimed at either process efficiency / process improvement / strengthening controls, as applicable

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 8+ years work experience in financial services industry
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Access Database skills. Also, previous experience in data analytics of large data sets using SQL is a must. Additional coding experience in VBA is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with ability to communicate effectively with senior management, global coverages and regulators
  • Understanding of financial securities and derivatives
  • Process management and prioritization skills with ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
  • Strong problem solving and implementation skills
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive attitude, with relentless attention to detail
