As a leader of a Java development team, you will:
Develop people through coaching, mentoring and management
Lead projects / initiatives front-to-back from planning, designing, architecting to implementation and go-live.
Lead the design, development and support of enterprise scale, global applications
Act as a thought leader in the technical space
Work closely with business and technology stakeholders
What you’ll bring to the role:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
8+ years professional work experience in development
At least 1 year in a leadership position (techlead or teamlead)
Strong knowledge of Java (enough to mentor / coach other developers)
Good knowledge of Unix/Linux
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

While these are not required, we are very interested in speaking with people who have exposure to the following technologies or subjects. Do not hesitate to highlight them on your resume!
Experience with microservices architecture
Experience with Spring/Spring Boot
Experience developing client-server, distributed, real-time, performance-critical, highly available, or large-scale systems
Hands on experience with modern distributed technologies such as messaging brokers (e.g. MQ, Kafka) and distributed caching solutions (e.g. Redis).
Experience building real time applications using multithreading
Experience working with Git
Experience with IntelliJ or Eclipse IDE
Experience with Scala/functional programming
Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps
Experience with Fullstack Development
Experience with Elasticsearch
Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (ex. Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, DB2, Snowflake, Mongo)
Knowledge of fintech protocols (e.g., FIX, Swift protocol)
