Individual contributors with a professional specialty or multi-disciplinary skillset acquired through professional development. May direct the work of other lower-level professionals in the context of a project, process, or program. The majority of time is spent overseeing the design, implementation, or delivery of projects, processes, or programs using knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education or equivalent work experience.

This job family manages or performs work associated with analysis, design, implementation, operation, deployment, and support of the organization's information technology resources (including computer hardware, operating systems, communications, software applications, data processing, and security), telecommunication systems, and software/database products by internal staff, outsourcing staff, or consultants. Activities include developing information technology strategies, polices and plans; maintenance and use of information technology resources; training and supporting technology users; telecommunications network planning, operations and site acquisition; programming software/database products for sale to external customers; developing PC, online, and mobile games; and internet product management & operations.

Positions in this sub-family are responsible for designing, building, and improving enterprise systems and processes including all major companywide platform applications such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and others. Activities include designing core processes for major business functions (Accounting, Manufacturing, Planning, IT, etc.) and incorporating and automating them within enterprise systems. These positions determine business needs through process analysis and consultation, then design customized solutions where needed, monitor performance, ensure continuous improvement, and integrate these various technologies and processes with existing systems across the company. These roles may provide consulting across the business as well.

Overview: Experienced individual contributor that works independently/under limited supervision. Applies advanced knowledge of job acquired through relevant and substantial work experience.

Purpose: Responsible for defined components or entire projects, processes, or programs within the area of responsibility.

Qualifications/ Experience: Work requires a deep understanding of the theoretical concepts and principles of a discipline and how they relate to other areas of the business. This is typically acquired through a 4-year university degree and at least 5 years of prior relevant experience.

Problem Solving: Problems faced typically require complicated solutions and are sometimes complex. Takes a new perspective using existing solutions.

Communications: Communicates with parties within and outside of own function.

Management & Supervision: Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level roles. Works independently with minimal guidance. Work is reviewed at critical points.
