The role of Sr. Employee Engagement Manager has a critical role to play in the next phase of MongoDB’s growth. The role will partner closely with other HR teams, Internal Communications, and our Employee Resource Groups to deliver culture programs and strategies that deliver the Leadership Commitment and support the engagement, inclusion and well being of all employees. This role is part of the Culture, Talent, and Development (CTD) leadership team. As a team, we are responsible for culture and talent building programs, including leadership development, employee learning, talent management, engagement, listening, and inclusion.
We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in New York City or Austin for our hybrid working model.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Lead and implement programs and initiatives that support MongoDB’s engagement, culture, and inclusion goals and objectives

Ensure alignment of engagement programs with our overall culture, values and people priorities for the company

Provide thought leadership, strategic direction, and guidance to our Employee Resource Group (ERG) Leads and Executive Sponsors to:
-
Develop new opportunities to drive business outcomes
-
Execute strategies for retention, engagement, well being and inclusion of our employees globally
-
Provide effective oversight and guidance on operationalization of the ERGs’ strategic plans. This includes:
-
Managing a regular cadence of touchpoints between the ERGs and leaders across the company
-
Partnering with Internal Communications and our Employee Experience functions to develop strategies that support our culture, values, and the engagement, well being and inclusion of our employees
-
Leveraging data analytics to identify opportunities, provide recommendations, and measure business impact of engagement, culture, and inclusion programs
-
Facilitating the budgeting process and tracking of spend
-
Facilitating ERG leader appointments, onboarding/training, succession, and recognition
-
Planning and execution of the annual ERG workshops and summits
-
Serve as a culture ambassador to and for the company and other key stakeholders promoting the Leadership Commitment and our employee value proposition to better engage with current and future employees

Build a sense of community for our employees, leveraging the ERGs to be an extension of our culture and represent the voice of our employees globally, ensuring we deliver on our Employee Value Proposition
Required Qualifications:
-
At least 7 years of experience, ideally in Human Resources
-
Demonstrated experience leading people or engagement programs
-
Demonstrated program or project management experience, including the ability to create and standardize content, process, and templates
-
Be able to demonstrate awareness and understanding of multiple facets of what drives employee engagement, and how they manifest in the context of a business and in different cultures across the globe
-
The ability to listen effectively to multiple and sometimes polarizing points of view with equal intent
-
Exceptional communication skills, and the energy and empathy needed to be able to engage with employees across levels, roles, geographies and cultures
-
Exceptional writing and memo skills
-
Embody a forward-thinking, adaptable and entrepreneurial spirit, and the flexibility to achieve similar inclusion outcomes across different contexts
-
Comfort with constant change and ambiguity, with the ability to project-manage multiple priorities to successful completion through iteration
Preferred qualifications:

Experience working in a Talent Center of Excellence (e.g., L&D, Org Development, Employee Engagement)

Experience in the technology industry, as well as in a high growth company
-
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
-
SHRM-CP or PHR certification

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.
MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:$76,000—$149,000 USD
