The Role
As the Manager, MP OTC Analytics, you will be a leader within the Global Billing organization, reporting directly to the Director of Global Billing. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily billing activities, reconciliations to hyperscaler data, and the analytics of our Marketplace Operations. This role will also ensure seamless execution and continuous improvement across all operational pillars. This is a critical role that requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of marketplace dynamics, financial operations, and team management. You will ensure that the MP Billing team works cross-functionally with the MP Accounts Receivable team to ensure accuracy of our MP subledgers.

Responsibilities

Creates and monitors designed processes with the Marketplace Billing and Data Analysis & Recons teams, to ensure scalability and efficiency

Manages billed revenue reconciliations and frequent reviews from each of our hyperscalers into our internal MongoDB systems

Collaborates with Partners team, Revenue, Marketplace Collections, Cloud Engineering and Payments team to ensure processes are effective in reducing manual efforts to process data between shared teams

Identifies potential gaps in reconciliations to tie back the data shared between our ERP, CRM, Cloud UI and Hyperscaler platforms. Focuses on accuracy of information shared bilaterally

Oversees the management of the failed usage reporting on a monthly basis between the Marketplace Operations, Cloud Engineering and Cloud Billing teams. Creates a process to identify and resolve issues within the quarter, resulting in reduced collections

Partners with Marketplace billing Manager overseeing Finance Review, to ensure support and coverage are provided for finance review. Will lend approvals and reviews as needed. Aligns regularly to scale processes and communicate trends and earlier identification of process improvements between pillars

Collaborates on project focus initiatives that can transform our data, utilizing our systems to provide better data driven outputs and reporting (Net Suite, Tableau, Big Query, Sales Force)

Owns operational readiness in a fast-paced environment - multi tasking effectively and staying highly organized

Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes impacting marketplace billing. Will identify potential changes that impact MongoDBs operational processes

Participates in month end and close activities and reporting

Supports quarter end requirements, ability to work later hours and weekends as needed

Ensures operations and processes adhere to our SOX Controls, reviews and is familiar with our key and non key controls listed in Audit Board. Will monitor and adjust processes, workflows, recommend controls needed or changes to existing controls as business operations change

Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
-
4+ years in leadership/management role
-
5+ years of experience in finance & accounting, operations, or a related field with hyperscaler experience
-
Ability to read and analyze data to determine patterns, and trends and provide insight to the business based on the data in our systems
-
Proven experience managing marketplace operations, billing, or financial processes in a high-growth environment
-
Strong understanding of public company operations, ensuring processes and policies stay in compliance
-
Strong understanding of collections, order management, financial reconciliation, and data analysis
-
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
-
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
-
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization

Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
-
Experience with financial systems, CRM, and marketplace platforms

Proactive, results-oriented, and a continuous learner

Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package.
